Our Story
Cabra Ranch began with a passion for goat milk products and a determination to do it right. We wanted care and control over every step, so we could make a product of the highest quality from start to finish. That ambition brought us home to the hills of Highgate, St. Mary, where day by day Cabra Ranch is becoming a true sanctuary for our goats. We love sharing what we've learned, both with our online community and with everyone who comes to visit.
Sustainability
We farm with regeneration in mind, working with the land rather than against it. Our goats are rotationally grazed, moved to fresh pasture daily so the grass has time to recover and thrive. And nothing goes to waste: we package our rich, nutrient-dense manure as all-natural fertilizer for local farms.
Giving Back
Our mission is to empower women and youth by providing them with a reliable and sustainable source of income.
Our program offers comprehensive training and guidance to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to care for their very own goat.
The goats we raise have been carefully bred with a focus on their milk production that provides a reliable and consistent source of income. This is in contrast to the more sporadic revenue generated by selling goat meat and/or breeding stock.
